Meta and directory keywords

I have always been curious when adding meta keywords should it only be one word followed by a comma

i.e. chemistry, help

I think I read this on W3 once


and for directories when they ask for keywords can I use two as a phrase

 

If you use only use one word keywords your site will be going against the top sites. You can use one word keywords but your better off adding some keywords phrases so site gets picked up for them also.

 

I quit using meta keywords

 

Meta keywords is one factor for on page optimization. You can put comma after keywords or keyword phrases

 

You can also put keywords or keyword phrases. But it's better to target keyword phrases.

 

Put your targeted keywords or keyword phrase on the first, then relevant keywords on the second and so on separated by commas..

 

It is always better to use phases. You get more targeted visitors.

 

what would be example of keyword phrases?

tech blog?...for ex?
