I am wanting to just create a site with a niche that I know is popular so I can get used to the basics of adsense and get to see how it works. So any of you recomend that I create a site on this topic and write up some content?
Sure, if the topic is something that you're passionate about or something that at least greatly interests you, go ahead and do it. If not, however, you're obviously leaning your ladder up against the wrong wall.
I am looking to major in computer science and web design so I will probably be making websites later in my life that I have no interest in so I need to learn to market a range of topics. I have done SEO sites, arcades, nintendo sites. Now I am going to try some medicinal sites.
You can create a niche around ANYTHING but there's some things that need to be done to make it stand out in the crowd - Easy to remember domain name (for return traffic) - Great design - UNIQUE, interesting and informative content - Lastly: TRAFFIC.
Sorry if it seems I am greedy and just wanting a quick buck. But as I have said I have no experience with adsense whatsoever and I was told it was a good way to get experience. That is why I asked.
I once had a blog directly about Mesothelioma to see how well it preformed. It actually didn't do to bad, about $0.25 - $0.60, it wasn't outstanding but it is better then most niches.
See, it hardly makes any difference nowadays, due to the competition within adsense publishers for such keywords, you will hardly find any clicks to your ads and even see .01 clicks on meso ads also, no joking, there are advertisers who bid for these keywords knowing that they will get heavy exposure within adsense publishers due to the large number of publishers in this keyword
