Messenger show my name AND password since update....

I tried both the beta and and the 7.5, and when I type a message, it shows not just my user account name but also the pass.

For example, if my user name were "eXpecting" and the pass was "BaBy", if I logged in with that user name and password, and then type "Hey, what's up", messenger would show:

eXpecting BaBy: Hey, what's up

Anyone know why it's shouting out my password when I type to others?

 

No experience with the updated messenger.
Still stuck with the old one.

 

I have the recent one, you are talking about "Windows Live Messenger" right?

maybe you have a virus/trojan?

 

I shouldn't... ran lavasoft adaware and avast antivirus... It's Yahoo instant messenger.

Check for virus with AVG....its free and awesome...just search for "free avg" and it should be the first page that comes up...best virus protector on the market.

 

new Yahoo messenger is not good to use.. i can't even use it.. after i login i go to chnange status and it log me out...

 

the new yahoo messenger sucks actually....

i tried it for a day...could access my address book or yahoo contacts via the contact search bar..when i uninstalled it and installed my earlier version...it still doesnt show up my contact list..

I prefer to use YahElite its really good for blocking spam PM's and Spammy Bots which is a plague on Yahoo... whatever you have its not good I would definetly uninstall it and scan your PC using Anti Vir.

 

by the way..have u checked with others whether they can see your password...

suppose if it is only from your end...and the person at the other end cannot see ur password, then there is not cause of immediate alarm..
