I made a mistake with 301 redirect. I have two sites, let's say www.abc.com and www.xyz.com almost doing the same job for me. So I did a 301 redirect on the whole site www.abc.com to point to www.xyz.com and it's working fine. But here's the problem.

I now want to modify the redirect so that www.abc.com points to a specific page on www.xyz.com. Since I modified the .htaccess file through wordpress (www.abc.com/wp-login.php), I'm not able to login to wordpress! (I can understand because all requests to www.abc.com is redirected to www.xyz.com, perfect! :D )

What will I do to edit my .htaccess file?

Can I do that my accessing the root directory in the server through FTP and edit the .htaccess file??

    help me please

I think there was a post in the middle which was a spam and got deleted. Anyway I am not sure what's the difficult part for you ? use .htaccess to rewrite rules or if some file of wordpress is missing, then download a fresh copy of it.

You should be able to modify the .htaccess file straight from FTP no problem.
