Message to Shawn from Banned Member

Hi Shawn,

Don't know what went down but this 15 year old lad has asked me to send you this request.

Hello , my name's Luke (LMesh). I have received an email saying I've been banned for having a duplicate account. There has been other people from my school (DP Member RedruM) in my class who's been on my computer. , I don't think this is fair at all. I had 3 itrader (positive) And was just about to buy something. Now I can't even post! I've sent you 2 emails 1 from my email 1 from Tims. I hope you can respond to this email explaining the situation better.

Shawn, he seems to be a nice enough kid who is wanting to learn from DP. Apparently, he is using his Mum's PC which she lets his schoolmate use it to.

I don't know the rules with this IP come duplicate account situation as it does not affect me as I have full control over my PC. However, if it's worth some consideration this LMesh lad would be more than happy if you could take some of your time to oversee the problem at hand.

Again, this is a request from him. I am just the messenger.

In all honesty, that sounds like a fishy story to me. And, two IPs on the same account is a rule violation: if the case is true the guy should've PMed or notified the moderators before attempting to have to accounts on one IP address.

We'll just have to see how Bubba Shawn will handle it.

I think it should be two Account on same IP is rule Violation...
BTW, we in our company have 4 acounts from same IP, but i told this to shawn as such we share same ISP so we have same IP ..
the only best way is not to ask your frenz to bump your thread and you are safe

 

I access DP forums from work & home. A friend of mine at work saw me visiting DP quite often & was about to sign up when I yelled "STOPPPPPPPPPP"....LOL. I told him 2 accounts from same IP would lead to banning both accounts...He is shifted to new place now so no issues.

As far as scammers are concerned...they should be banned. We dont want people stealing our money here.

 

Interesting thoughts guys. As stated I am just the messenger. Let's see what Shawn's thoughts on the matter.

Well, technically he violated the rules anyway as he lied about his age when he signed up. Pair that with the fact he was deep in the red and I can't see Shawn bending over backwards to research his account.

Add to that the fact that it is pretty suspucious that all the people involved in that transaction (buyer, seller and people backing him up) were all from the same IP. That means even if they are legitamitely different people, they are still scamming people from DP by "vouching" for each other and pretending to buy things from each other.

I know there are tons of under age people on this board, blah blah blah...Im just stating the facts

PS. I just reread it and it isn't how I initially thought...This isn't a school computer room where people happen to use the same computer. "They" are "all" using a computer in the guys house (I thought "My mom let this guy use the computer" was pretty funny).

 

With the traffic DP is getting now, Shawn must've went.. nah.. waste of time.

 

He has asked me to post his comments in this thread thinking you are a mod yfs1.

He has some interesting points. Shall I?

I hate being the mediator here. How does a banned member get unbanned anyhow? I have no idea.

I think posting his messages here might create problems for you. Ask him to email Shawn with whatever clarifications he want to give. If Shawn is not responding then its clear that he wont be allowed here anymore.

 

Im not a Mod...and only Shawn can unlink accounts that have been merged. My post above was my opinion but the more I read these supposedly different peoples posts, the more I think Shawn made the right desicion.

Honestly, I don't think he even has any interesting points. My mom let other kids use my computer isn't really valid seeing as how they were bidding on each others auctions and saying how good the other alias's were and how they should be trusted.

 

OK. I know you are not a Mod and I made that very clear to LMesh. I respect your opinions as a senior member on this forum.

He is still reading this thread so hopefully he will take the advice and rely on the email he sent to Shawn and I am sure Shawn will take the appropriate action (seeing he is the owner).

woooo... Thts a Shock to me.!!

Me and my friend often log in from same IPs... Sometime he logs in from my PC when he is at my home... and Vice versa.....

I hope we dunn get banned...

Maybe this post.. can stand as a proof.. in future.. when I get banned by mistake..

 

I wouldn't flame you although I am interested on why you are helping him (Im actually curious, not being a prick)

Say Lmesh isn't the same as the other 3, he was bidding and vouching for a confirmed scammer so at the very least he was helping timbo and redrum scam other people. I just don't buy he was using redrum's computer, bidding on his sales by coincidence and didn't know what he was up to.

Like I said, this isn't a computer lab or a internet cafe. Its the guys house.

 

Luke emailed me the explanations, etc which I was going to post but then since I had his IP and real name at that point, I did a quick google search

We also excess DP from same IP from a similar company.... now what with a company as big as 300 people if more than 1 person is accessing their DP account..

will you ban them for doing so???
