Mesothelioma

Everyone knows that mesothelimoa is a high paying keyword that in most cases leads to smart pricing if in fact you try and create a MFA site.

I'm just curious why people would bid so much on this keyword? If this is such a high paying keyword, why isn't some of the other forms of cancer high paying?

Mesothelioma is a cancer that is caused by environmental exposure. There are lots of lawsuits and settlements because of the effects of Asbestos (which causes this cancer) therefore lawyers are fishing for ANYONE that might want to start a lawsuit.

I think this thread is in the wrong forum, though.

I wish I had a nickel for every asbestos/mesothelioma site I ran across. (including my own!)

They are still very high paying. I have never seen a 40$ but many 5-6$ range which I consider pretty good.

The thing is now many of them are targeting sites specific.

So what makes google decide whether a site on this subject should recieve smart pricing or not? Do all new sites on this subject automatically get smart priced?

Its not google who decides its advertisers

I have had some sites that would be crucified here as MFA sites be cpa targeted by advertisers. This means the advertiser has clicked on the "advertise on this site" link or has specified to google that they want to appear on your domain.

Eh, don't bother checking your rep. It's pointless. Who cares if some anonymous person you've never met or will ever meet "approves" or "disapproves" of you? There's more things to worry about, like this splitting headache that's been dogging me for days now... ARGH.

Try it and see for yourself. No one can tell you what CPC you will get for a particular keyword on your particular site, and on your page.

But- the supply/demand equation for that particular word has been skewed in favor of the advertisers because of all the publicity about it, so the days of 40$ clicks for that one are probably long gone.

The bids are in that range, but really doubt the payouts..

I'll bet that most of the advertisers use a CPM strategy instead of a CPC for this type of high-cost keyword.

People are motivated by greed and stupidity. That's life. I have no idea if they make much. I hope not. Hopefully, google will catch them in the end. You can send a report to about such sites. Google will either warn them, or once they hit $100 they'll be banned.
