What are you noticing ? I still see nothing moving up from YPN and still am planning on converting back to all AdSense after the 31st. My YPN EPC sucks.... it's so sad from what it was

I still think you guys need to look at the "overall" picture.

It's december. It's the holidays. You should EXPECT less PPC money. It's also the end of the month when many budgets are maxed out or dwindling. It's also the end of the YEAR. All these things factor into each other.

I agree with yo-yo. In addition, I think there are just several reasons to stay with YPN. Yahoo is doing a lot of things VERY right. I appreciate their efforts and consideration. I will not jump ship.

Indeed Yo-Yo, all of those factors are playing in. I was actually talking with a YPN rep, and she tole me herself that I should expect lower daily revenue through the holiday season until possibly sometime in January.

pardon my french, but that's rubbish... for me, december was yet another record month for earnings with adsense, with at least one record high earnings day.

nothing i do is holiday-related, either... what drove the record earnings was higher average page ecpm from adsense, despite slightly lower traffic... it's a scenario that has been discussed before.

there was no shortage of advertisers, either... we are talking about non-xmas advertisers, almost all of which appear to be around for the long haul.

Ditto other comments about holiday traffic is unusual. My experience with YPN is the ad-targetting is getting better (I hate those Vontage ads) but yes, PPC has gone down ... be interested to see what happens in January ...

Actually, no it's not. Just because 1 out of 100's does better during the holidays doesn't make my statements "rubbish"

None of my sites using YPN are holiday related or gift related. They have all had less CTR, less impressions, etc through the holiday season. Guess what, it's all heading back up as of the 1st.

Considering adsense pays pennies per click , it wouldn't be tough.

Did I say there was a shortage? No. During the end of the month there's always LESS advertisers because they're budgets run out, they're always LESS paid per click because budgets run low.

i just proved that your mis-generalization "You should EXPECT less PPC money" was wrong... and i'm hard-pressed to believe that you have a base of experience in the "100's" to draw from.

you clearly don't have a clue what adsense pays in all the sectors that i serve... go back and re-read the part where i talked about record earnings

however, as you indicated, i am seeing higher overall higher payouts for the one internet/computing related sector where i'm trying ypn on a small scale... but it's blindingly obvious that ypn just doesn't have enough advertisers in that very popular sector... or any of the other sectors that i've looked at, for that matter.

people make the mistake of labeling that lack of advertising clients as "poor targeting"... yahoo has been doing search technology for years, but they are just too dumb to figure out what topic your website is about? NOT.

on top of that, we can tell yahoo what category of ads to serve, so there really isn't any such thing as "poor targeting".

You're right. On the biggest holidays of the year (christmas eve, christmas, new years eve) People jump all over the internet searching for things instead of going out and partying and being social!

You should expect less because less people are on the internet surfing around = less traffic = less clicks = less money for you.

I also said ITS THE END OF THE MONTH when advertisers budgets are RUNNING DRY.

Do you make an average per click over $5.00 ?

Ever since smart pricing nearly EVERYONE has seen huge drops in Adsense and is getting pennies per click. I was making $50/day on one site and poof - less than $1.00/day with adsense.

    It's on YPN now averaging $7/click ;)

    ------------------------------

YPN pays me on average 40 cents per click, some lower.
AdSense averages 10 cents, some lower

webmaster sites, software, and medical pay hardly nothing now EPC for me anyway

That's still 4 times higher than adsense pays you.

I have sites in all different categories and only 1 averages less than $3/click on YPN. I have one that averages $15+. It just depends on what advertisers are paying and how you're targeting the ads.

how would you explain the disparity between that and the $7/click number that yo-yo was tossing about? lol... do you think that he could be confusing cpm with real money

i think that i'll feel better about ypn if and when they get some advertisers in their program.

I'm sure this has been posted before, but we see major changes in ad rev from YPN over a few days... Up and down, always close to the same amount of traffic and clicks.
