Merging profile and page

    Hi, everyone!

In 2017, my company has created a Facebook Page.

Knowing that we have already created a Facebook Profile in 2011 by the same name and using the same account, I would love to know if I would be able to merge both of them in one page. I want to precise that I don't want to lose friends nor subscribers available on both pages and the publication history.

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi worov
You can not merge the personal profile and the pages on Facebook.
You can merge only the pages and you should be the admin for both the pages. When you merge the pages the old page (source page) will be deleted permanently and the destination page (the page you want to keep) will be your new page.
There are also some conditions to merge pages on Facebook, once it's done it can't be undone. Both pages should be identical otherwise your request for merging pages will be rejected.

I think Facebook doesn't provide an option to merge two separate Pages directly while retaining their combined followers, content, or history. But it is a great idea, FB should consider this feature.

I don't think it's a good idea to merge two different pages because it seems to mislead your followers who followed for something and got something different. This will lead you to lose your followers (real ones).

Thank you for your answers (and happy new year to everyone). So merging a a personal profile and a page is not possible.

Quite a while ago I was on the committee for a sports club that had a facebook account but was changing over to using a page - because a club isn't a person - and I kept the account open and for weeks contacted "friends" as they came online and asked them to like the page. Once they had I unfriended them so that I knew that any remaining friends needed to be contacted. I reckon I had about a 50% success rate - and this was just before a major event that the club was involved with.. Converting business "friends" is going to be harder. I recommend logging in as the account periodically and unfriending people just so you can keep track of your success.
