Have a look at this tutorials: graphic-design.com/Photoshop/montage/index.html digitalscrapbookplace.com/university/tutorials/ps_beginnercollage2.shtml
I don't think you need a tutorial for it, it's really easy! you just need to import all of your photos (copy paste) into your file.. and then use the airbrush eraser tool to add that effect to the edges
Have a look here graphicssoft.about.com/gi/dynamic/offsite.htm?zi=1/XJ/Ya&sdn=graphicssoft&cdn=compute&tm=7&f=00&tt=14&bt=0&bts=0&zu=http%3A//www.myjanee.com/tuts/layermask/layermask.htm
Some tutorials Ive seen already (the one from the example above) and I just cant get a nice effect with those instructions... Will check the others now! Thanks!
Well I don't think that example used anything special.. Looks like simple Feather and airbrush eraser to me..
your looking for manipulation most photoshop tutorials can be found on this site here is what you are looking for http://www.pixel2life.com/search/4/manipulation/1/ specifically these http://www.photoshopblog.net/2006/01/24/tutorial-photoshop-yourself-into-a-centaur/ http://www.picturecorrect.com/photoshoptips/backgroundchange.htm http://www.picturecorrect.com/photoshoptips/add_planets_background_photo.htm http://www.tuthq.com/photo-manip-photoshop-tutorial.php that collage looks like they just feathered the pictures and added them in to feather use the lasso tool and make an outline of your image (stay a good distance away from the actual image) right click> feather... choose about 15-25, hit enter, ctrl+i then delete.
None of these work for me... Im looking for a simple gradient one. Where I just pull the gradient tool and it slowly blurs one image into the other. Anyone know of a tutorial that works with gradient tool?
In order to use gradient tool you need to use layer masks also. This way you will be able to fade the photos.
nono.. use the clone stamp. set the brush to very soft and less than 100% opacity. let me know if it works out for you - if not I can write you a tut
I try this but it just shows a big shade of white/black merging into the photo, it doesnt delete it and make the transparent background... Im confused because this used to work
Oh this is very simple. 1.Gather up the images that you want them to be merged together. 2.Open them in Photoshop 3.Create a new file, size should be <800x600.(recommended) 4.Drag all the images into the new file. 5.Check on show bounding box when you want to resize the layer. 6.Use eraser(with light opacity surrounding it), and erase the edges or the parts that you don't want them to remain. 7.Move them around. 8.Save. 9.Done, within 9 easy steps. I hope it helps...
you can do it with layer masking as well i think its quite simple just apply the layer mask and see the magic.. Cheers
Since you are telling me that you have worked with the gradient before, and now it isn't working, I believe you should check in Photoshop; when you have the gradient tool selected, check top-left to see if the option you have, goes from the color you have chosen to transparent. If it isn't, there is your problem. If it is, then use one of the options they have suggested. Gradient should me from color "X" to "transparent".
