Hi, I am new to photoshop and I need of your help. I searched Google for this but in vain. I have the following 5 images and I want to merge (or whatever you guys call it in your graphical language) them all and create a single header for my new site. Giving it one color tone which is #456389. http://www.imagebam.com/image/2e932b5247952 http://www.imagebam.com/image/b7d8765247954 http://www.imagebam.com/image/b19c8b5247955 http://www.imagebam.com/image/e87e7e5247956 http://www.imagebam.com/image/2b9ebb5247957 For example i got the following header from a site and this guy has used 6-7 images to create one single header. Also see the images has one single color tone matching the color theme of that site. http://www.imagebam.com/image/e97a345247777 Please guide me the steps how do I use the above 5 images to create one single header in Photoshop.
That header that you showed used different photo settings per banner. (soft light, multiply, those stuff) To get one general tone, you must play with the curves, brightness and contrast, those stuff.
Not only that but you must soften the edges of every photo with either Layer Masks or go the old school way and just eraser tool them out
well here's an overview drag and drop all of those images into a single photoshop document. re arange them and scale them so they would be side by side and they fill up the entire document so there isn't any white space. Select the background layer, and use the paint bucket tool to fill it with the color you desire. Now, back to the image layers you put in. Use the eraser tool and erase the edges of each of the images so they look like they're blending into eachother and not like they're just a bunch of rectangular pictures thrown on top of eachother. The color can get very complicated so I suggest you read up on color manipulation and modification in Photoshop. There is loads and tons of this on the internet. For a simple approach however, I would make a new layer, on top of everything, and fill it with a solid blue color. Now, the document will be all blue, but don't worry just change the color mode to "color" instead of "normal" in the layers panel and everything should be blue now. If that doesn't look like what you want make the opacity of the blue layer to maybe 25-50%. Hope it helps
I have made a sample merginng using photoshop but I am not at all happy with it. Could u please download the file and check what wrong am I doing? http://www.psdnow.com/download/file/ktjIQ4wvcH/
We really can't teach you that easily. You have to have patience to go over tutorials and learn from them.
this is not something you can really just learn overnight... in theory it is a very basic effect you can create in photoshop... but being able to take it and make it look perfect just takes an artistic touch and a designer's eye... goodluck
