ok...this is my 1st post. Please have mercy on me. I am very new at this and struggling... I used a css template to build this website. Unfortunately in doing that I don't understand exactly how everything works... The template is skidoo too from this website: http://webhost.bridgew.edu/etribou/layouts/ The website correctly renders in IE7 and FF However in IE 6, for some reason (I think it is a clearing problem), the left menu gets pushed down to the bottom of the content in the man area. I think it may be something simple (hopefully), but with my limited css knowledge I am at a loss as to what it is. Here is the site: http://www.mishawakafurniture.net any help would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks.
I need to take off so I don't have time to test this but if you add clear:both to #outerColumnContainer it should fix your problem. If not PM me and I will take a look at it tonight.
PM sent I did try clearing that container. I tried clear on every container. None seemed to effect the problem. But I could be doing something wrong? Thanks for looking...
Not tested. See http://www.positioniseverything.net/explorer/threepxtest.html It looks like you have some tight fits that IE would screw up, which suggests the 3 pixel bug. cheers, gary
Thanks for the input. After a few PM's, it seems i just had to reduce the size of the two images at the top by a few pixels, it was too tight... here are a couple more issues. Drag the browser window bigger and smaller in FF. A white line appears next to the top banner image (the store image) at certain sizes. you will see it flash on and off. IE7 is even weirder. When you drag the window bigger and smaller, or resize it with the web developer tool, the layout breaks. You have to refresh to have it go back to normal. odd... Anyway, thanks for te help, I really appreciate it!
