I have a plan to build a website which provides memberships to web entrepreneurs, internet marketers or basically anyone to join.

I will have plenty of resources to share to the members like 100+ eBooks, 20k PLR articles, 50 PLR packages, 200 turnkey scripts and many more. There will also be forums and live chat system to support the site thus creating a community. I will also invite mentors and gurus to aid the members weekly.

As this site will becomes complicated since I am giving so many good stuffs for free, I have a few questions for all of you here and I valued every suggestions. :D

    1. Do you think I should charge for the membership? I am not looking to profit from it, but giving away free membership will lure in many troubles like people stealing contents away and spam etc.

I am thinking of charging a very minimal fee like $5 or something to cover up for the costs.

    2. Do you think I should use Joomla or WordPress for this membership site?

I will value every suggestion. Thanks

Great, I Would love to be IN that membership site.I think you should use Wordpress, Its really user friendly. I dont think you should set the site to be free. At least some money would be fine for you :) (Sorry for my broken english)
Let me know when your site's are up.

    Thanks,
    Cheers,

Thanks. This is just an idea. I think by charging $5 is pretty reasonable. It's not too much and it's not too little either.

At least it is enough to keep the bad guys out. :p

I think at first you should give the memberships away for free - lets say the first 10-50 (or however many you choose). This will get you more sign ups to start off with, and these people will start your community as well as being able to provide you testimonials. After this introductory period, then I believe you should start charging - as you have established you have a valuable resource.

    Hope this helps.

Hmm...That's an awesome idea. Testimonials-wise, I hope some of the gurus and mentors in the market will give me some positive feedbacks.

Don't give every thing at once otherwise it will be copied and redistributed. i will say just release few goodie every month ie like 10 script and in that case you will have repeat and new members.

Of course. :D But anyone has any ideas to promote this site? My marketing plan so far are:

    1. through forums
    2. viral marketing (through contest and word of mouth)
    3. paying for bloggers to review it
    4. SEO

anyone can suggest anything? Will you look forward to it?
