If your sole supplier threatened to ban you what would you do?

  1. Everything they asked no matter how difficult

  2. Drop them and find a new supplier

Hi all I posted in the ecommerce forum because I think that is the kind of solution I need.

My sole supplier recently decided that all pricing info and buy now buttons must be password protected. AND those passwords MUST be unique to each individual user. In other words I need to allow the users to select their own personal password (or assign them one).

I use Site Build It to build my website and Mals-e.com as my shopping cart. Site Build It is a do-it-your-self type of website builder. It is relatively simple compared to some high end applications out there. For instance I can upload javascript but not .php.

Mals-e.com is a javascript based shopping cart that can be integrated right into SBI built webpages. I have password protected my pricing info already using a javascript but it only permits one password to be accepted. I now need to update my site so that each user can create their own unique password.

I don't know what to do next. Some questions I have been pondering are:

    1. is there an application I can purchase that I can put on my webpages that will manage unique passwords to protect information?

    2. is there a service that can do this?

    3. does anyone recommend an ecommerce solution that can do this.

At this point I am still open to suggestions so please, please tell me how to solve this problem.

    Thanks in advance

    Tim

Do you think that you can put pages in different password protected folders? It's tough to tell what you're asking that can by done without modifying existing code. The only thing I can think of outside of modifying code is having unique folder for each user and password protecting each. It's old fashioned but if you can't modify the code your options are limited.
