Meet The Gurus Live!

With the ever growing need for JVs and networking amongst
    like-minded and like-niched marketers, I've been looking
into attending some of the live marketing seminars and
    conferences.

How many of us visit these things?

For those of us that do attend, are they worth the price
tag (for the paid ones), or the travel costs (for the free
    ones)?

I personally would see these lectures as a waste of time. I would find out the secrets myself and apply the methods!

I know many people online who are quietly making a good income without a fuss.
I have never bought expensive products and never offered expensive products to people. Just my 2 cents :)

The point is going to meet people and making a network of contacts not really to learn secrets.

How does one define a guru anyway? Just because someone makes a pile from AdSense or whatever doesn't make them a guru. Of course if he has a line of sheeple following him, then I guess the guru label is applicable.

Contacts are good! Also these gurus have all the "secrets". But heres what I used to do.

I used to be a "lurker" at the Warrior Forum and I learnt all the secrets by purchasing their products, built good relationships. But most of these seminars are expensive.

Why not make them cheap? LOL I would host them for free!

I haven't been to any of these meets since most of them are in the States and I live in Canada. However, if you have an option of going, I think it's worth everything. You never know, you might be able to secure a joint venture or an endorsement..
