Selling Medical Supply website with new xcart software

This site was built in 2006 and had a decent amount of business up until about a year ago and then the host upgraded to mysql 5 which caused the ecommerce software to stop working so it sit idle for about a year. I recently purchase a new version of xcart and install it and a new skin and now the site is functioning again.

We have only had the site back up a few days so it has just had one sale which was a wheelchair so the profits so far have just been around $150. It is a great site and their is only one drop ship supplier and even though the site only has a few products the supplier has thousands of different medical supplies.

The supplier does not advertise that they will dropship so we are protective of the supplier info so it will only be provided to the buyer. This is a good profit margin business and does well even in a bad economy. The software alone is worth about $400 with the skin. We just set up hosting but so far (in two days) has had 138 page views. Any questions just let me know.

The margins vary from product to product but the supply does not set the pricing. It is up to the site owner to set the prices but of course we just looked at the competitors and set the prices around them. On some items like wheelchairs you will make 20 to 40% and some cheaper items you might make 200%.

The supplier is the 2nd largest medical supply company in the world and they have about 30 different warehouses across the US so where they ship from depends on where the item is being shipped to. If it is a West Coast ship to then it will ship from one of their West Coast warehouse locations.

They do accept returns direct to them with a RMA number.
