Ok so a couple months...let me say that again...MONTHS ago, I pulled my quad muscle trying to blast a ball in a soccer game.

Walking and jogging are no problem, but I am afraid to sprint or kick the ball again because it STILL HURTS WHEN I PRESS ON THE MUSCLE!!!!

Do you think it could be nerve damage? If I try to play again what are my chances of pulling it again??

Please please please answer b/c my season starts in a couple of weeks!

... why are you asking a web forum? Don't you have a doctor or a physiotherapist?

If it still hurts then it may be a muscle strain. This is when you have torn muscle fibers. If you were limping after the injury but didn't feel pain for a few hours then it's a strain.Nerve endings take 10 hours to repair and you wouldn't have felt intense pain right away.A first degree strain takes 3 weeks to heal.A 2nd degree takes a 6 weeks.Third degree takes a trip to the operating room as muscle has torn away from the bone.If you have either 1st degree or 2nd and you continue to practice it could turn into 3rd degree...go see a doctor.

Really mate, if you are worried about it, you should see a doctor..
You won't get an expert advice on a webmaster's forum, except if there is a doctor here. Even if there is one, he wont be help you much because he/she can not evaluate your condition first hand.

    Seriously, go see a doctor.

Don't go to DP, go to doctor!

Your tissue could be torn or it could be a rupture.
