Media Streaming device

    Hi,

    Im planning to buy a device which I can connect to my tv and my home network and which streams music and movies and from which I can directly download stuff onto the device without using my computer.

    It doesnt neceserally have to have a built in harddisk as I got an external 500GB one which can be connected to the device.

    I have seen devices like this before from a brand called Popcorn but found them very expensive, anyone knows cheaper solutions?

    Apple TV is cheaper but not by much. I don't know much other's. Search Google?

    Xbox 360 is pretty great for streaming IMHO.

    Maybe the title is a bit misleading but what I am actually looking for is a device with which i can download movies and music and directly play it on my tv, without having to use a computer..

    Apple Tv is no option as it only works with Itunes for as far as I know..
