I have just received an email from Google Search Quality, (God is watching over us all, little children).
Anyway, turns out its pop-unders from f*cking Media Shakers.

Word to the wise - never ever use Media Shakers.
Apart rom the mallware etc , the pay is a joke.
You can rep me for telling you this, I wont object.

    Thank you.

    they use yieldmanager.
you can go though the 10's of thousands of ads and reject the one's you don't want and produce popups, but at the end of the day you'll still be making peanuts.

Media Shakers or other companies that use YM have no control over the ads.most they can do is change the percentage that you get paid.

it would be nice if yahoo would get rid of the junk ads and make it pay more then peanuts.

PS: who is "Google Search Quality"?

    Hey,
I just wanted to comment on this, because I know how frustrating it can be to discover that your ad network is distributing malware.

If you do business with an ad exchange, that's going to be a small risk for a long time. Rogue advertisers are taking advantage of vulnerabilities in the system. Maybe even one ad network is purposely distributing dirty malware to make a little cash from the devil.

However, most networks will not purposely release malware. There's no incentive too, unless they want bad publicity in threads like this. Media-Shakers probably wasn't the source of the malware, an ad from another network that bought your inventory was.

It's definitely frustrating to know that your visitors and your own computer may have malware. The best thing to do is to work with the network so they can plug the hole, remove the ad, and help you remove the malware.

As the market goes into recession expect these networks to go to extremes for advertising. After Microsoft devours Yahoo, they will do a clean up of these types of networks. Probably raise fees to get rid of the smaller ones. It would clean up the quality too.

    Just be patient.
