    Hello All,

I am new to this SEO world. I searched net for info on keywords, meta tags and page rank but no good resources I found.

    Can anybody tell me:
    1) How meta tags are important ? How many meta tags should be included in site page ? What type of meta tags are important ?
    2) What is page rank actually ? My site lists 2nd on first page of google, does this mean my site has good page rank ? any real good tips to increase page rank ?
    2) I know keywords are most important but does they help to increase page rank ?

Any other suggestions are also invited.

I don't think all meta tags are important but for me meta description is really helpful to other search engine even not in google. Meta description also helps to attract visitors. If you have good description of your page visitors would click on your page.

Page rank is a score of your site based on your site quality links. Your site has a good rankings maybe because your site was properly optimized with your targeted keywords. Best way to increase page rank is build more quality l;inks for your site.

I think keywords has no direct connection with PR because PR is connected directly to links.

    1) Important metas are : Title, Header and Description( though some SEs are not into it)

    2) PR or Pagerank is like a trust rank given to your site by Google and it is based purely of the quantity and quality of the site links. and it won't affect the SERPs ranking

    3) Good use of KWs will help you in SERPs rather than PR

    1) Google no longer added weight on meta tags but still there are still some SE who still uses on this one and since it didn't harm your site, you can still use this one,. Much better if you focus on title and description

    2) PR simply tell the importance of your site/pages. It is ranges from 0 to 10,.

    3) KW is not after to PR,. but more into SERP

what do you mean header? header tags are not part of meta tags,. correct me if your nore referring to meta tags

hmm, meta tags are ignored in Google, but don't overlooked at it, still, its part of the on-page optimization...

damn, you are asking about PR, you can skip this one. its really not important. let me redirect you to SERP ranking and driving traffic LOL (arrogant)...well, those two are much, I mean much more important than PR. so try to focus on those...

keywords has no relation with PR! (damn, getting pissed with PR)...keywords are for SERP.
