Measuring Conversions When There is No Conversion Page?

My photo-retouching website requires prospects to send me an email, and that is a "conversion." I'm trying to figure out how to measure / track conversions that originate from Adwords ads.

The typical prospect visits the website, views several pages, then either decides to become a customer (by sending me an email with a photo attached for retouching) or not.

Adwords offers conversion tracking, but I don't know how to implement that with my system. Any ideas?

    Thank you.

There's a disconnect here, and that disconnect in the human element. Since the customer is required to go off-site to make the conversion, there is no way other than manually, to track this. Can you implement some form within your website that allows the customer to make the order? Then you could track this quite easily.

Just add a "contact us" form to your site instead of an email and track that

Yes, integrating a form and having the user send the email through the form is the only automatic way.
