Hi, My last name is "kadimi", so I bought the domain name "kadimi.com". I'm working on a website for laptops and mobile phones reviews, do you think it's a goog idea if I use this domain name. TY
from the seo point of view, thats a pretty bad idea, i would rather prefer to make a personal blog on that domain. try to get a relevant name for your site, that domain will just not help.
Yes, I agree, that would be better for a personal homepage. I suggest to use an english phrase if your site will be international or something in your own language if your site will be for your country only, so that if someone googles for the product you offer your site will be shown in the results.
TY for the replies, I found some meaning-full but long domain names, something like www.keyword-keyword.com, i'm still trying to find shorter ones and with no dash edit: oh! BTW, the domain name reviews.ma is free, but since I'm making this site for English internet user (UK, USA...) I don't think a .ma domain name is good
if you got new domain name make sure it's easy to remeber not be too long. and will be better if those keywords related o your content. about kadimi.com you still can use as the optional maybe for link directory or anything you are interested in. it's a good name ^^
the shorter, yet relevant domains are almost taken, you have buy some premium domains at high rates if you wish to get any of those! here is what i got for you: mobilelaptopreview.com | this is available, and great for seo, but then it is a bit long!
i actually like kadimi. i think it is easy to remember, and easy to spell (although there are a few varitions people would think up, cadimi, kadeemi, kademe, but over all i think it is short and will be good for branding (think stickers, labels, other printed things. that being said yeah for SEO it is not the best....but i think personally that is less important than an easy to remember name that is pretty short.
i think meaningless domains are good for personal or big projects.for example google, hi5, yahoo, etc.
