Hii all, I am curious to know what "Peon" means? Also,why I have to post a 'Title' for every post, which appears at the top of my every post,whereas I don't see a title appearing above other's post's!!??!!
I don't know what Digital Point Administrators have in mind when they classified their users as Peon. But the word has uncomfortable meaning. Just look at the explanation written in wikipedia on what the word "PEON" means;
I think DP used this word (PEON ) because peon is someone who has a very low status... so if you want to get rid of this word you have to make specific number of posts which is good for DP itself Its a trick actually
the title of your thread not only goes above your post but that's what is seen in the main forum list.
* Computing slang: a peon is an "unprivileged user"—a person without special privileges on a computer system. The opposite is a "superuser." I think that is what 'peon' means here at DP>
If you know warcraft, you know what Peon means (their role in the game). But yes, overall, lower status.
Peon in Greek means... The thing that all men have between their legs. Its funny though if you think it that way.lol
Low status person but usefull, usually used to help other people doing something, but the peon does the crap. A peon will do and bring the ciment to an official to build a wall. The peon is unable to do the wall but the official does not want to mix the ciment. Just an example. The peon is necessary though, without him, nothing moves...
