One thing I have noticed with the land rush auctions, is that the interest, or amount of bids on the domains, seems to depend on when the auctions start. I noticed this after the second or third batch was released.

The only thing I can put it down to is that people have not kept an eye on start times, and have missed there auction. I have not been paying close attention since my auctions ended, but I had a look last night and saw quite a few nice domains with less than two hours remaining in the auction, with 0 bids. And some other great names with only 1 bid.

There's another bunch about to finish in just under 8 hours.

Some good one's there.

When I noticed the first few expiring without any bids (right at the start of the auctions) I tried to register a few, thinking they may get put straight back on the open market, but no luck.

So, wonder what happens to them! Do they go in to the premium auctions? or will they be released to the open market on a "first come, first served basis" once all the auctions are finished?
Wish I had kept a list of them now

I dont think someones name would have a copy right issue. I dont know for sure though.

 

I am unloading some names HERE, some for registration fee only.

Over spent, what do u think? lol

 

I actually just read an interesting article the other day that said China has banned the use of their gold medalists names for domain registration. They are only allowing the actual person to register the domain. I am not for sure if this only applies to .cn or what, I think it would be pretty hard to enforce but a step in the right direction I think

I just tried looking up a couple of the domains that I had originally seen end in auction with no bids, and they are still unavailable, and have no whois information.

they were,

commission.me
wag.me
bbc.me
and
arizona.me

It will be interesting to see if they turn up in the premium domain auction.
