    James,

Do you have a link to the auction? I searched on TDNAM but couldn't find a listing.

Impressive, hopefully more will get over 10k to drive up the "value".

im glad that registering a .Me is quicker and more official than the first day.
There was long delays at go daddy and lots of confusion but all is back 2 normal now.

Go daddy had over 20000 applications the first 24 hour. Thats crazyyy.

Well Use Promo Code CHH2 if you are registering or renewing a .Me domain at godaddy.com. Use that promo code at check out and save $5 off each domain. Worked great for me and my peeps. Another Promo Code that I use alot for new .com or renewing my .coms is CHH3. CHH3 gets you a domain for $6.95 yr. Works every time.

    James,
How do you click on an auction to find out the details ? It seems like there's no links on my end ???

Looks like GoDaddy is playing some sort of game here because all the domains I purchased have a valid whois lookup but the domain "insure.me" is returning no results like the rest f the domains that were set aside by GoDaddy..

    shady business..

I think you had to join one of the pre-purchase launches in order to bid,

That still doesn't explain the lack of registry whois data. Both of your domains show up fine (you a Red Sox fan?) as does the rest of the domains for all of us here in this thread. Seems like registry data is being manipulated/withheld and on an $11K auction, that's very shady and I'm not talking about the real slim shady...

Could just be that they are trying to keep things private? Just my thoughts on it.

Good point, but if it's a private registration through GoDaddy, wouldn't it show up as Domains by Proxy ???

Um, there are no links on my end either.. just shows the domain name, the bids, the time left and the current bid... you can sort them by clicking on "current price" etc

Insure.me is one of the landrush domains.. if you registered your interest for insure.me during the land rush then you would be able to bid on it... Thats why there will be no whois info on the domain.. because no one owns it yet..

I am not sure what will happen with all the premium domains that have been put aside.. I guess they will be sold at a set price. and the set price will most likely be set when all the landrush auctions have finished. (so they have an idea on how much people are willing to pay )

    Cheers

Now I got an answer from the support. They told that those 39€ are for 1 year and you can cancel after 1 year if you want.

I dont know maybe they have a special deal or something. This is the company:

I spent an hour on Thursday reading about their complex roll out. It's sort of like they are selling cars that are not titled yet, once they declare a winner then the whois stuff will show up.

http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=943759 check out this thread in the BST, someone is selling .ME domains that they don't own for $x,xxx. Half way down the page you find out that he hopes to win them at the auction???

Hopes to win them at an auction then sell them... interesting concept that leads to epic failure.
