personally didn't found any interesting & available domain name to buy.

heard there were a lot of "frauds" with some .me domains.

I picked up banned.me

I'm rather pleased with it, got it at namecheap so i didnt have any of the problems people have been having with gd.

Agreed.. some people are gonna try and flip them right away (May be a good idea) I think im just gonna squat on the one I bougt for god only knows how long.. perhaps before I retire.

I've allready seen quite a few .me sales threads, but like you said it may be a good idea while there's still a lot of hype, but it in the long run it wont help the market much as the prices may not reflect the true value so early on, bit like LLLL's during the peak of the boom really.

On the other hand you could also loose out in the future if you sell so soon, if .me takes of and stays popular then some hacks will be worth a decent ammount of money, if you sell it too soon before you get the chance to gage the market properly you could end up loosing a lot of money.

with .asia there is still hardly any sales data, so don't expect the .me market to boom straight away, sit it out a little while.

 

Basically boils down to a game of chance..

Take the quick buck... or hope long term proofs to be more valuable.

I would say it would be a better alternative.. Gonna have to do some googlin see what I can find.

 

The fact we all have our .me domains for 2 years makes it even better to sit it out as well - twice as long until that dreaded renewal day!

bullshit. .me is Montenegro country domain. Montenegro got independant last year and now they got their own domains. They choose to sell it to foreigners like they sell everything they have to russians.

I got few .me domains, but it's mostly famous places in Montenegro.
