I am godaddy user from long time.
I never tried to buy .me domain before.

Today I tried to buy it, through godaddy.

I want to register .me domain for 1 year, but godaddy's minimum registeration period is 2 years.

Is there any alternative so that I can buy a .me domain for 1year
which costs less or same as godaddy.

    1. No you cannot register it for a period less than two years (as of today).
    2. Godaddy offers the lowest - $19.9 per year.

I agree, .info is selling for $0.99 or lower, at one time $0.59, and still no one buys them.

I think the 2 year limit is fine, so you're paying $10/year. not bad for a new ext. better than some others you pay 30+ for one year...

but no you can't buy .me for less than 2 years, godaddy teamed up with the country that was granted .me and has the rights to it. I know godaddy is trying to get other registrars involved but I doubt it will be for less than 2 years.

Are u sure no one buy .info even in $0.59?

Btw, none of the registrars is offering .me registration in one year.

It is just the initial phase where the restriction applies. Wait for a few months and the 2 year reg requirement will be waved off.

hmm all the ones that I have found for under 2years cost more than buying for 2 years on godaddy. so no deal there.
domainit.com seems the cheapest at $19.95

I think Mydomain.com is cheaper as it has promotion right now. which only cost $16.10 with coupon code " htmli.info " (15% off coupon)

Not sure it will happen or not, but after few months I doubt the premium domain still available.
