    Of course two letters is a perfect name .
    But there are two problems .
    First is where to register such extension domains.
    Second can we keep the the domain if you would like .
    (are there any potential policy risk for owner to lose the domain ? I really quite interested in such short domain and domain extension.)

    The official registrar for the top-level domain .MD is MoldData - a state company based in Chisinau, Republic of Moldova. The official site for register the .MD domains is www.nic.md
    About to keep the domain name MD.MD in the Agreement and Legal notices of this site is not any problem. All is legal and no one risk to lose this domain. The domain was registered from 1999 until the February 2009 by one USA medical clinic and was used like a medical blog. From this year I'm the owner.
