McGwire is a Clown

Did anyone else see the ESPN interview with Mark McGwire? The guy looked like a complete clown. He was stumbling all over his words and then asked for immunity for his family, who he claims only learned he did steroids a few days ago. When asked why he is trying to protect his family if they didn't know he once again stumbled on his words and said he didn't want everyone to be interviewed and be dragged through the mud.

He was then asked why he made a formal apology if he didn't feel his numbers were increased from steroids. He once again stumbled over his words. Everyone laughed at Jose Conseco when his book Juiced came out in 2005 accusing a ton of people of steroids, most of which have been proven true. Conseco took it one step further calling him a liar and saying they did it more times than he can count including juicing up in the bathroom before games together.

On top of all of that both Tony LaRussa and Bud Selig claim they didn't know anything, yet reports are coming out they are lying as well. I personally think Selig's career is going down the tube as more reports and lies come out.

The most annoying thing to me was that even now that he is admitting that he used steroids, he is still making up excuses and saying that he only did it for health reasons. And on top of that, when asked if he honestly believes he would have been able to set the homer record with out the juice, he starts rambling off about his God given ability and that his performance would have been the same either way. Give me a break...Own up to it and take responsibility for your actions.

Well even though he's juiced, baseball is still a difficult sport to practice. You hand-ball coordination in hitting home runs is really a tough challenge.
