PHP, regarding Hagee, I'm only going by what the man said. From page 123 of From Daniel to Doomsday: The Countdown Has Begun, a book that literally sees world events (or predictions of world events to come) as "checkmarks" on a Revelations Doomsday clock, from the chapter entitled "11:54 P.M., Russia Invades Jerusalem":

He's psychotic. Aside from the fact he's a moron (please find an Arab "Persian," and let me know when you do, "pastor"), with zero sense of history, and a foaming at the mouth preacher predicting "we" live in the "end times" (something averred ever since the inception of the historical Christ - in contradiction, by the way, to your scripture, I might add****) when such a view marries with politics - whether here, or with Palin's view that her pastor, having a special kind of direct relationship with God such that God does his bidding, and her religion therefore secured her the governorship - well, I find that extremely dangerous.

Other than that, the subject was the attempt on the part of the McCain camp to draw a connection from Obama to Ayers, when the "relation" is nil, while he actively sought the relationship of Hagee, and Rod Parsley - both of them psychotic, dangerous men. McCain served on the Board of the World Council for Freedom, which I find equally damning.

It seems inescapable to me that McCain's wanting to draw this "Ayers relationship" is beyond ridiculous; moreover, it wouldn't be ridiculous for others to raise these questions on McCain's relationships and board memberships - to its credit, the Obama camp has let history be history, and refused to play the same game, to any appreciable extent.

The anti-semitism you've heard again comes from Hagee's own words - from his book, Jerusalem Countdown, he postulated that Jewish persecution, to include "modern times" (read: the Holocaust) has taken place because "they have refused to follow God's will," in so many words. He has confirmed the stand elsewhere. I recall one member here, to be honest, who has made the same opinion mindset known (et seq.). "The Jews have brought this on themselves, because they have rejected Christ."

Now, I'm sorry, PHP, but no, it isn't "non-Christian" bias that is "smearing" Hagee, as it is he himself who writes these things, and says these things. They are his words. And they are crazy, and dangerous.

**** See Matthew 24:36-, and many other instances, for example.
