McCain Thinks He Can Win California

I was just checking the Sunday morning news, and John McCain made a comment that he believes that the old Red State/Blue State thing is not going to apply this election and that he thinks even California is up for grabs. I think an election where unusual things happen is actually good for our country. We need to have a shake up. An election where people vote out of the norm. Hispanics voting for Republicans. Southern Baptists who vote for Democrats. I want to gain confidence back in the American public that they are able to think outside the box and outside their comfort zones.

Check my blog posting and vote in my poll.

I think it highly unlikely, but if McCain can win California, that will be the beginning of the end for the Dems, I think.

Very true. His amnesty program killed his support in Arizona.

It is possible for McCain to win in California. He appears to have strong support from the Mexican communities, which increasingly dominate politics in southern California. I know a lot of Democrats who cannot stand either Obama or Shrillary, but who think McCain is a reasonable person who they can trust.

Personally, I don't think there is anyone to vote for in this election.

I actually think McCain is a candidate that can change the nature of politics in the country. He is a very independent thinker. I think he can move the Republican part to the center on some issues and make it all less polar.

McCain is fairly liberal, so he might be able to.

No one that spends 7 years as a POW is a blood thirsty war monger. If anything they understand the horrors of war.

I don't. A lot of people fail to relate their own experiences to their actions. It's just like saying somebody who was once bullied will never bully other or someone who was abused as a child will never abuse their children. However we find the opposite to be true.

    Very true!

By the way, McCain won't win much of anything. He's totally out of step with the world.

Those who were bullied always turn out to be worse than the actual bully when they have power, it is a saying. Look at the current leader of China, he once graffiti'd his whole school labelling all the problems with society, 30 years later he is running the country and responsible for the deaths of millions of people. Just like MCain, if he gets in power, run for your lives.

Yes Ron Paul isn't going to win presidency, but he has already influenced many future political leaders which are running for offices on the foundation that he's laying. You and your children will be thankful for this.

I really think people at least here are underestimating John McCain. I think it helps him that almost 6 months away from the elections and democrats still don't know who there nominee will be, and it looks like neither one will have the votes to win it out right so then it will go to super delegates to decides and who ever they pick the other side isn't going to be happy, plus the unresolved issue of Michigan and Florida the longer the democratic race goes on the less time they'll have to unite the base which is positive for McCain he doesn't have to spend any money until the democrats pick their nominee, he can go around the country building support while democrats fight each other, I don't see how California is not up for grabs, let alone the White House for John McCain.
