I choose to capitalize the first letter of a new sentence.
No, its only a stupid move to the "other side" because they know it was a smart move. If it was such a stupid move, why are the democrats running scared?

He did not quit anything. Its a postponement. Actually, a suggestion of a postponement. It may not even happen. Who cares. If that is all you have to defend the world against McCain, I hate to hear what you suggest is so great about Oblama.

I listed 5, including women. Probably not an exhaustive list but it covers the high points. Historically the VP pick actually has little effect on the campaign. In this case it definitely brought his base to the plate in a way no VP pick has previously done, so he may be better at this stuff than we give him credit for. Guess we'll see how that works out in about 40 days.

Biden fought against President Reagan's defense buildup gainst the Soviet Union in the 80s.

It's doubtful that Biden would stand up against the terror states like N. Korea, Iran, Syria and Pakistain.

I would very much like to see the candidates debate now.

There are innumerable issues and concerns occurring around the world that concern America.

    1. Financial crisis at home
    2. 2 current wars having lasted and ongoing for 5 @ 7 years respectively. The war in Afghanistan is going badly. The Taliban is making a resurgence. Al Queda remains in Pakistan and the US and Pakistani forces are currently shooting at one another. The threat of Al-Queda toward the West remains.
    3. The existance of 2 wars speaks to the fact that the US doen't have and didn't have adequate ground forces to conduct both these wars in the first place. That has never entered the debate.
    4. Iran is showing off its Nuclear capabilities. It is on the move to develop these capabilities
    5. N. Korea is engaging its nuclear capabilities again.
    6. Russia is flexing its muscles not only in its own area but arranging naval activities with Venezuela in this part of the world. It and many nations are demonstrating clear and distinctive anti American anti West strategies.
    7. US government debt up the kazoo and getting worse.

Meanwhile the campaign, as with most campaigns is dominated by ads that invariably twist and turn truisms into emotional attacks.

Get these two guys to face off and discuss their visions for the future. They owe it to the US citizenry. Then go back and try and join in on determining a forward process with the economic debt issue.

The strong leader who sticks to his guns and does stuff the maverick way just announced that he will be at the debate tonight. Even though he said he would not leave Washington until a deal was struck and we are further from a deal than we were when he pulled his political grand stand.

So is his campaign still going to be suspended because after the debate I'm sure he'll want to get back to Washington to "help" more.

I know most of you will be scouring the net, fox news, and conservative talk radio looking for talking points to respond with. But in the meantime do any of you republicans have their own thoughts on this?

Mccain has lost all credibility and unless obama makes a big mistake he will come ahead of this debate.
Mccain was forced to show up. No way out for the beauty queen either. I can not wait and i hope they ask real question. Mccain new tactic is "suspension of all his activities in connection with reality" and will lie his ass off

The President called on both candidates to come back (after McCain made his announcement of course ;)) in hopes that their presence would help. Both party nominees there in one room with house and senate leadership to help smooth things over and iron this out.

Whether that ends up being a good thing will be decided by history.

What that leaves me wanting to ask McCain is "why the grandstanding canceling campaigns and debates for one meeting (read photo op)"?
