McCain campaign announced that they are pulling their resources out of Michigan. Pundits (even on fox news) are saying it's so he can better use his resources to protect red states to ensure Barack doesn't get any pickups. Basically all Barack has to do is win all the states Kerry won in 2004 then pick up 1 (just one) of the battle ground states or red states and he wins electorally. To me this validates Barack's decision to use a blanket electoral strategy and put money in all 50 states and make McCain spend his money playing defense just trying to hold on to the red states he has.
He should. According to Real Clear, Obama now leads McCain by 96 electoral votes, and that is allowing leaners. That's a 110 point electoral bleed for McCain in less than two weeks. Miles to go, and McCain is known for his ability to remake himself, but I'd imagine the McCain handlers are in an internal bloodbath at the moment.
Maybe he will remake that statement in which he said we needed to be in iraq for 100 years and say he accidently added an extra 2 zeros and meant 1 year.
