McAfee contacted and offered me to sign up for the McAfee Secure product, which is essentially a security certificate service where by signing up ecommerce owners can add the McAfee Secure certificate to their home page to reassure customers that they are receiving greater protection whilst shopping on your site than any other certification available. Are there any ecommerce McAfee Secure users that can validate this? The bit that interested me the most is the fact that ecommerce sites that sign up for McAfee Secure are highlighted in Google, Yahoo and MSN listings above other listings to the millions of McAfee users. For example, if your potential customer is a McAfee user and they search for your products in any of these search engines then the search results will preference the ecommerce sites that have McAfee Secure.
