Ok, so I just completed my 9th niche site today. Am I losing focus? Should I concentrate on just a few rather then going niche crazy?

Please share your thoughts and experiences in this area.

If you complete each of you niche sites it's fine. Real problem is when you buy a large number of domains to develop great niche sites and then you find no time to finish any of them :\

Just try to spend some work on each, don't just leave one drift off the train.

In my opinion you should diversify. Do multiple niches. That isn't to say that you ought not do a group of niche sites in the same family, i.e.

    Boeing 747s
    Boeing 767s
    Boeing 737s
    Cessnas
    Pipers

    And so on.

I thought maybe I was getting greedy and expanding too quickly without putting in the right amount of time and effort into each one. In terms of $, obviously I'm seeing higher earning on the older sites, but I started adding more primarily for 2 reasons:

    1) I had some domains sitting around
    2) Each site I start seems to get crawled very quickly, which results in organic traffic even without doing anything

I started with my first one in Feb 2008, earned about $600. In March, commissions increased by 50% from March. In April, it increased by 110% from March. I was hoping to cross the $2K mark in May, but I don't think EPN will let that happen... you all know the story, most affiliates are complaining about losing more than 50% compared to CJ.

wow mcmuney! that's an incredible achievement! I am wondering what's your techniaues? SEO? PPC?

Anyway... do not worry about the EPN. If they diss you, you can use your skills and experience to profit from other affiliate merchants. Granted, EPN is not the only merchants you can work it! The sky's the limits!

You can build a bunch and the forget to market them. I would spend some time building links and posting in forum, blog etc. Try to maximize your traffic.

I believe that 80% of your sales will come fom 20% of your websites...
Take your most profitable website and expand further, you should boost even more profits.

dfourss: Most of what I'm making is from organic. I stopped most of my PPC's.
rsrikanth05: Niche site is a site that displays your niche products.
cylai: lol, some of already know a few of my urls, but maybe not all. i have a broad range or niches.

mcmuney: i feel that after building so many sites on BANS you get a feel which niche performs better, scale and expand in that niche.

not sure what's his niche strategy, i'd guess it is either
    - high price niche;
    - niche with hottest selling products
