My adsense revenue is declining, people do not click on adsense ads any more. Yes I still make money from them but I feel I should make even more. I am thinking of switching to the following strategy. Remove all PPC ads and focus on pushing affiliate products in the content of my sites. For example generate great articles about a certain topic, mention affiliate products and monetize that way. Less PPC ads, less distractions, more clicks to my affiliate links (since they are presold) and maybe more conversions. What do you guys think?
I think doing your affiliate marketing is a great idea. But, I would definitely not cast Google to the wind. It's like a back up plan One small well placed ad will not hurt, I believe
You are probably right, but honestly I am tired of doing all of this work and getting paid pennies, most of my sites get thousands of visitors per month and the adsense revenue keeps on going down. I believe that pre selling is the way to go, if the entire article is well written and can convince people to purchase or sign up for something I think it is much better and it will probably convert better. But well, I have to test this so we will see what happens.
You can actually try to remove the adsense and concentrate on the affiliate and compare the result. If the result is good, then you might just give up adsense. However, if the result not good, you might consider to put back the adsense ads
Yea I know, maybe they will both fail? specially with the bad economy, people are not buying stuff any more

Depends on your web site. Adsense is working very well for me, in combination with affiliate programs (mainly from CJ) on the same pages. Removing one and only doing the other might help but I believe after a lot of experience that having both is the ideal solution.
I used to think the same way, how ever I have seen a trend of affiliate marketers concentrating on selling a product on the content page, for example you will never see an Acai Berry landing page with adsense.
better you use affiliate link in your content and using adsense as PPC program so you will get double income mate..
Yes i agree, its beter to use both to get double income. with the right content and webdesign, you might just have lots of visitors in your website thats keeps on coming back for information.
Why don't you try doing both? Your niche may not be well paying, so try using less ads. One block at a strategic position can work well and then continue to promote affiliate products.
Well that is good Idea. I think I will sell something online too. But I don't know where to start, so many People talk about Amzon cj clickbank.. and Adwords.--> I really can't afford this cos adwords is expensive sometime. SO I still continue Adsense , I got just $0.01 per day . and some days a little bit more. Feel tired but when I left if for a while the earning is never stoped (even if a little) So I still doing.
First reason is that now everyone has his own blog and 80%+ bloggers use adsense . So now most online users know what is adsense ad. Second If you get highly target traffic than you must go for affiliates too . They can work better than adsense .
