Maybe google knows what my users want more than I do...

I have always filtered out ads that have nothing to do with my site. I assumed that keeping the ads relevant would keep the CTR high and make more money. Well, just for today I decided to try removing everything from my filter list. (I had 100+ ads filtered.) Not only is my CTR up slightly, but my eCPM is way up! I understand that the eCPM would be higher, but I'm stunned that the CTR is actually a little higher.

Maybe I should just sit back and let google figure out what ads to show... :)

That´s interesting Tom22. I´ve never bothered filtering any ads on my site - even competitors. I think there is enough on my site for visitors to come back and what the hell, if the competitors end up paying a couple of cents for a click well hey, I don´t mind that at all.
