Suggestion Maybe a new category?

    Hello.
It seems that the 'freebies' section is being filled up with posts of people offering something for free only to find out you have to complete a CPA offer to get the freebie.

In light of this situation would it be possible or more advantageous to create a section in the BST forum specifically for these type of posts.

This would let the forum user know that they will be required to complete a CPA offer before getting the freebie, and it would also free up the current 'freebies' section for genuine posts.

    Thanks.

Do you mean "Freebies with a catch" I have seen that on some other sites.

    Good Idea..

Freebies are freebies, imo. And if we don't have a separate forum for $5 and under (not free) then why set one up for these? The only real point of the freebies forum is to lump together all the cheap stuff that we don't allow people to exchange iTrader over.

    Makes absolutely no sense.
Free means you don't have to pay for it,
    It it's over $0.00, it isn't free..

If you want it like that, make a forum called "Under $5"..

That's just the way it is. Freebies existed first. We decided we didn't want iTrader exchanged on anything $5 or under either, so the rule became that those posts go in Freebies. It's been that way for quite some time, and it's worked reasonably well. If and when Shawn decides to change the name, he will. In the meantime, we make due with what we have.

Last time we discussed this, that was considered to be an affiliate link as it's the same method as a download from a pay-per-download site.

    Yes? No?

Yes. Having to complete CPA offers to get a freebie count as affiliate links. Use the report post button to alert us when you see them. Other actions (like having to give your email address, sign up as a member on the person's site, etc.) are allowed and do belong in freebies.
