May I use as landing page the direct product page from Adwords?

    Hi All,

I can see a warning message inside my Adword Account, it says:

the url page set in my campaign is the http://myuser.product.hop.clickbank.net .

Is it valid to link directly to the product page or this is a bad practice.

Is it better to create my own landing page?

    thanks.

Damn thats nasty. I never managed to get 1 as QS.
If you know html and a little bit of SEO take a look at the page and see if its related to your keywords.
I suspect that the merchants page is not very relevant to your keywords.
You could link directly to the merchant but usually you wont be able to get very high quality scores.
Its better to have a landing page. You can get from 7 to 10 quality score with a little bit of work.

Yea, just break down and make a landing page. I tried direct linking when I first started and all I did was lose money. Along with the fact that there is usually at least another person doing direct linking in a mid-competitive niche, and only 1 ad of the same URL can be shown at a time. Making a landing page gives you the opportunity of creating 10/10 keywords, which translates to better ad ranking for cheaper prices.

Someone just told me that google will not allow direct linking. Now I'm confused and I feel very silly bout that.

I did it just over 1 week ago. It just didn't work out too well.

It depends on the product and campaign, and your intimacy in the niche.

Some products don't need much presell if any at all, others need quite a bit, and those who write amazing content should utilize their own landers for sure!

Other option for you is to use the G keyword tool, and instead of seeking similar words, dump in the URL of the products sales page, and it will give you the best keys for that page with highest QS (Note: These aren't necessarily the best keys in the niche either, some publishers don't have a clue... another reason to use your own lander). Burt is right, you can direct link, however the destination url can only be shown once the the line-up so you're limited to your impressions (actually you can forward your domain right to your hoplink too and can bypass that rule - but still, I would get my own lander and have also never seen a QS of 1 btw - ouch).

My advice is to scrap that Campaign and start again fresh as sometimes its harder to build a QS from a poor ranking than to being a completely new campaign.
