I got my directory on the first page for a keyword with 360.000.000 results. And it is 6 months old. I started learning SEO in May 2006. so.. may I call myself a SEO Expert?

i think its something you would need to do with around 4 or more sites in order to call yourself an expert, that way youve proved its not luck and that the other sites are just badly optimised.

If you fancy giving it a go on another site ill give you the link of 1 of mine :)

Tell me the keyword and site you are ranking for, that will also have alot to do with the answer to your question.

you can get a ph.D degree online in just few months and call yourself Dr. ;)

If you want a recognition, it's better to be recognized by others first. Or that's how I think it should be, at least.

links-collector.com is on 3rd page for links directory
all-linkdirectory.com on first for all links directory
probably nobody searches for this.. but.. for a 9 moths experience is seo I'd say it's something
next target - first page for real estate.

Congrats on the accomplishment, but do keep in mind that the number of results in not always a good indicator of the difficulty for ranking for a search term.

    Nice goal. :)

well ranking for obscure term should not take 6 months... Its matter of few days to weeks at most... I m sorry but have to tell ya the truth.... So probably, you are not an SEO expert yet! You would be if you could rank on 1st page for term "real estate"on Google ;)...

Showing numbe of results for a google search are meaningless - it doesn't mean anyone is searching for the keyword. If no one searches for a keyword, it should be very easy to rank for.

Use the DP keyword suggestion tool and check wordtracker for how many people search for the keyword. Links directory has no one searching for it - so it should be very easy to rank for, but won't bring you any traffic. Picking keywords that will bring you traffic is the first place to start. (you can also use overture, but it isn't as accurate for seldom searched for terms - it can be skewed by webmasters checking their own keywords)

I am nout sure that you set your next goal right which is "real estate" in 6 monthes with sort of budget you stated before I personally will cal you SEO Master and will buy all of your ebooks and products.

Now to be serious. "real eastate" very hard even for very well versed SEOs to rank for and second it will bring traffic, but not targetted at all. So since you are not worldwide real estate organisation or seller or whatever - waste of time and money.

SEO expert always keeps quiet about his keywords.
No sense in proving yourself and making competitors.

The number of results is not always a good indicator for how hard it is to achieve high rankings, yet sometimes it's easier to just go by that :)

I don't call myself an SEO expert, but sometimes i feel i should :p

Good luck ranking well for "real estate". It is certainly possible, but unless you have a good way of bringing in an income besides adsense (i.e paid banner advertising), it will be a lot of work for very little pay. Keep us posted!

I looked on overture for the search counts on your two key-words
and its very low, they average only 380 searches a month.

I also did a google .com and .co.uk search for those two keywords
and it doesn't look like your listed anymore. I could be wrong
