May have stumbled on a decent domain

    Hi Group.

I may have stumbled on a decent domain but it is a .asia and I wanted to get your opinions.

Without revealing the domain as I haven't grabbed it, it is 6 letters and represents a tangible item that is routinely sold. To give you an example, if the domain hosting.asia was available, would you purchase it and what would you do with it?

According to google adwords, the word has over 250,000 searches per month.

Thoughts on .asia for premium words?

    Thanks.

It depends on your business plan and the value the Asian market has to you.
Will you be deceiving your clientele if you aren't actually an authority in Asia? Will they care?

I have no business plan whatsoever for asia. The only thing I can think of doing with this domain is redirecting it to my US .com domain which would be in the same vertical market. Other than that, don't know what to do with it.

I was hoping someone might have an opinion on .asia domains from the perspective of value and seo here in the US.

    Ha, but I can :)

Years ago I used to get blocked from US websites because I had an APNIC IP address. Finally it's working in my favour.
