I pointed this out in a popular directory forum where the site was chosen as a runner up (in a directory contest)...but my posts were deleted. The site also has a subdomain that has nothing to do with directory...DirJournal is a well known directory and I'd be surprised if the similarity in design was claimed as coincidence. I am really glad they chnaged it though...It doesnt look bad either
Wouldn't contacting the host solve the purpose? In a sane world this should be rather easy to tackle.
The guy at maxlinks.org changed the design yesterday but it is back with some tweaks again.. We have just updated our blog http://www.dirjournal.com/blog/directory-journal-attracts-design-thieves/ Please share your thoughts and help us fight them. Thanks.
This really shows how disgusting a individual can get. Its a real shame & pure lack of creativity. Highly unprofessional on their path. Just for your info hasan, here's the owners link: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/member.php?u=9120

Hmm not sure what it looked like before. I just checked max links now for the first time and to me it still seems pretty similar. Like someone else pointed out - even the pricing copied. I guess they are hoping someone mistakes them for DJ.
Thanks humm. I appreciate that! The site maxlinks.org is based on deception. I would request everyone to please forward this on so that people get aware of these fraudsters.
My first look is that the color scheme is really similar with dj, it's not a bad news when someone copy you!
That's something! But Haxan, you were "lucky". Some shithole guys copied from my directory this phrase: even though they DON'T offer either wp themes or seo services. Some even didn't changed "My Green Corner" with the title of their site. How about that? Nowadays, there are thieves anywhere.
Nothing new there. That seems to be the norm when there is an issue and/or concern. Hide it from regular view to perceive an environment which is complaint/bug/unsatisfactorily free, which we know is false. And to think that they condone this type of behavior is an outrage. edit: I did leave a comment on their article/blog for which they are trying to say they've done nothing wrong, however it has not been approved yet.
