Maximum url length

    What is the maximum length of the url you can have, including any variables?

    e.g. mysite.com/index.php?variable1=123741273482347128304710238

    i dont think there is a limit, however a long url with alot of variables would be considered a "dirty url". Dirty URLs are complex, hard-to-read, difficult to type, and are a security risk.

    He is asking those who are using the Adwords whatz their maximum url length not the length allowed by the adwords.
    Mine is maximum 70.

    IE allows 2000 characters, less than 100 is good, less than that is even better.

    In AdWords it's 1024 characters for the destination url.
