Maximum number of backlinks per day?

Discussion in 'Link Development' started by mikhhaelo, Mar 29, 2009.

I just started a brand new blog and am trying to raise my page rank. I know it will take months before I will see any results. So I was wondering what is the maximum number of backlinks I can do per day to seem natural. Any advice would be appreciated.

what you can do is make submissions to around 125 social bookmarking sites and to blog commenting........
do it slow and make it look natural SEO. do not rush while doing submisions

I suggest you start looking for other Blogs and websites on the same niche and try to exchange links with them.
I much more efficient this way.

Since your blog is new you do not want to rush and get too many back links fast if you do and can't keep up with the pace google will take note. If you want some nice back links, submit some articles to ezine, squidoo, goarticles etc pointing back to your blog, then you can submit to dozens of article submissions sites routinely to make it appear natural to google. Just make it consistent and do not over do it, the older your blog gets the more margin you will get with ramping up the number of links over time.

I doubt anybody has a hard and fast number for that. My guess is that the trigger numer is tied to the stickiness of your site, and the PR of the source of the links. For example, if you have a link to your site from a major site (such as CNN, slashdot, etc), then it's logical to have hundreds if not thousands of links coming in at once.

For an average blog with inlinks from directories and other average sources, I'd - just based on gut feeling - keep it to within 1-2 per day.

There are no number back link, you can try to get more and more back links it give's more benefits to your blog, you can also submit your blog in social bookmarking site and blog directory, this 2 ways are increase your site maximum numbers of back links.

On a very basic level I think it's possible to guesstimate how many backlinks you can build per day. This is only a basic figure however and it doesnt take into account lots of other factors.

Take a competitor's backlinks (say 5,000) and download by the site age say 5 years - 1,000 backlinks or three per day. Do this with several sites in the top ten to get an industry average.

Obviously those links were not built at such an exact pace but it will give you a rough idea of how many you can build without tripping any major filters.

Also monosodium broached on the fact that if your site is in the news it is likely to build links quickly. This is something Google does take into account.

If I need to build a large number of links quickly I usually get a PR out and get it on as many news sites as possible, while social bookmarking and adding a few random links like forums, blog commenting etc.

The technique is quite basically described there, but you can build on it.

There is no limit actually, but its better to go slow, something like 100-200 links / day.

As long as the links come from a variety of sources, and you have different anchor text........there is no real limit to the number of links you can build.

CONSIDER THIS: If Google placed an exact number limitation, your competitors would place spammy links to your site all over the place!

My rate of link building is to build 10-15 links per day.......and place links at 5-10 new domains per week.

don't think about the maximum backlinks you can get each day. You can submit to many directories , social sites, etc, etc.. but search engines spiders do not discover all those incomming links in the same time.

The more backlinks, the better, just make sure you use different link building strategies.

More about link building methods you can find here.

For a new blogs, I suggest you can start commenting on 10 - 20 dofollow blogs a day.
Try to concentrate on dofollow blogs only since you are targeting for PR.
Consistent link building is very important in getting good page rank and won't look like link farm.

build as many as you want - Google will not penalize your site for of site factors. As long as the links are quality and you change up the anchor text you will be fine. I built over 7000 links in 2 days an nothing happened to me.

I use Linkvana as seen in my signature below to build my backlinks. But if it is a brand new site I do not build more than 3 links per day. This figure can vary but it is one that I am comfortable with and have never had any problems with the search engines with it.

If a new blog get's 100-200 linksa day or meven more, it's doens't look natural.
Try to make it as natural as possible.
I would say you should build between 4-6 links a day and do it every day. Not only when you got time for it. It will look more natural.
Later on you can start to build more links a day a little by little.

It's not just the number of links that determines whether they're "natural". Other factors include the sources, PR distribution, etc.
