Maximum Internal Links per page?

    According to Google, what is the maximum/optimum amount of internal links a page should have?

    I never thought about it. I believe it does not matter how many internal links, because you are pointing to other pages in your own website.

    it's better to keep number of links on a page under 100 (internal+external).

    must be a reasonable amount of links a page should have.. i belive that is aprx 200, but lesser is greater.

    Just Google mega-menu.

    I have this problem, because my index page links to over 250 pages on my site. My index page is essentially a site map. I have been wondering what to do about it. My PR recently dropped 1 rank on ALL my pages. I wonder if this could be the cause.
