I recently started a new stock photo website (first link in sig). Now growing nicely with many new members each day. Site only has Adsense on it generating couple of $ a day but in the new year I want to monetise the site completely. The site offers free stock photos so can't get revs from that like most other stock photos sites. Im sure Im going to have: - Adsense - 2 or 3 home text links - google referrals (from members area). But I need as many income streams as possible. Im happy to put money in for the coding to implement new features that can generate revs. I thought about photographer upgrades (homepage photos featured, extended descriptions/keywords, biography photo etc) Does anyone have any other ideas of ways I could generate revenues? Any other thoughts, however basic or outside the box welcome!
chrissatchwell, Just a suggestion, but I would get rid of the php session ID's by doing mod_rewites on your site. This will increase search engine traffic big time. More search engine exposure=more revenue...
I am a photographer and actively post images on http://www.sxc.hu/ Take a look at their site and search for a term. On the bottom of the first few pages, there are links to similar images on a paid photo site. Maybe you can sign up on some affiliate programs? Maybe amzon and offer discout photo equipment / supplies?
Thats pretty good idea Drig, I will take a proper look into it later. thanks. cheers for the tip aswell energydude, improving seo is always key. Any other ideas?
