I just wanted to know about the maximum amount of transaction one can do from paypal? can it be in 100K USD????
Don't use PayPal for transactions like that, you will lose a huge chunk of your money to their fees. Might as well do a bank wire or something
maximum of it is just 10k and both reciever and sender account will get limited(if not bussiness) for any transaction over 2k
That is a pretty illogical thing to say since there are transactions well up and beyond of $2,000 on Ebay And I am sure these people aren't ALL business accounts So you are wrong i win ggrainthx
Anything above 10K, one should use Bank wire transfer instead of paypal. You'll have to pay a lot of fee for that much amount on paypal.
LOL if you read Paypal TOS you will find out what i mean, any transaction over 10k is not available by paypal and in eBay members get PROTECT option thats why they can recieve/send over 2k(even in that case paypal limit many accounts),hope you understand.. more info ? http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr?cmd=p/gen/terms-outside#receiving_payments
there is no limit.... but if you get lots of transaction then paypal will limit your account more often and cause you pain.... so its better you select a business account and you should be ready with your business document and business bank account.... because soon paypal ask you to submit business document if you get huge amount of transactions.... but once you submit your business details you will not get limited like in personal account or premier account....
Although there is no real limit in terms of the dollar value you can pay through Paypal, there is always the practical aspects of it. Firstly, although some credit card offers a high payment limit, $100k is pretty much out of the range of range of most. Secondly, Paypal is good for small transactions so anything over $500 (or $1000) per transaction, you should consider a more secure means of payment.
i agreee with eddy even though godaddy and serveral other compaines do thousands of dollars of transactions in one single day on there business paypal.. but i know godaddy have there own fraudulant department who look after only paypal transactions and match them with geo location etc.etc.... so if you can have your own fraudulant experts who can filter out the frauds then sure you can go for paypal... but if not then i will suggest you to go for other payment processing that provide you more merchant protections...
Actually there is nothing wrong if you have thousands of transactions which yield tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars each day. It is best not to have each particular transaction to be more than $500 or so in my books. To me, paypal will never be a serious platform for payment and it does not really sit well with corporate customers and would usually support the eBay crowd and individuals who wants to go into business. Thus the dollar amount per transaction would usually not be very high. If you are doing 100k per transaction, you should be a big or medium size business and such transactions should be done by other means and you would get corporate lawyers involved in drafting up the sales contract and such. Payment through Paypal for anything over $500 would seems unprofessional to me.
