Very fast introduction, i host several sites that are mostly related to games, anime and hentai. Its been only a year since i started so my experiences is limited but i'd still like to give out this simple advice. What i noticed in the past year of doing this is that the more clicks/impressions you give to ad networks the LESS you start earning from them. (maybe adsense excluded) The way i maximize my revenue is to NOT relay on a single ad network. My advice is to sign up for every good ad network out there, especially if they allow to set backup ads. For example with my anime site i used to only use adsense. Out of the 120k pageviews i had then 60k where public service ads. What i did then is started using other networks. In adsense you can set what to show when a public service ad appears so i redirected this to fidelity media. And in fedelity media i set backup ads to cpmstar. This way i started earning like 35% more then just with adsense! Awesome. With my adult hentai site its even more crazy, i started off with blacklabelads but it was so easy to see that the more clicks you give them the LESS they start paying you! So i started rotating, have different networks for top and bottom banners and this increases my revenue with over 200%. I now use juicyads, blacklabelads, exoclick, adultadworld and all in rotation. Even if you think the ad network you're with pays the best you should try to find alternatives and just start rotating that. Chances are high that the day after while looking at your revenue stats you will notice that the two combined make more then just the one you thought paid the highest. Good luck.
