Max links in sitemap ?

    Hi

    my new site have more than 1000 pages. shall i create sitemap with all 1000 urls ? what is best max links in normal site map (not google site map)?

    best to create a paginated sitemap .. so break them up into chunks of 100 links on each page

    It used to be that you can not put more than 100 links on one page, but now you can put as many links as you want. But it will be very difficult for user to find something if you have 1000 links on the same page. So, as cdiprose suggested, make paginated sitemap.

    a sitemap to be passed to google or sitemap viewable by the user from you website?
    if your pertaining to sitemap.xml heres the guidelines of google regarding that

    You can break it up into multiple sitemaps. Take a look at Ssandecki's Google Sitemap FAQ.

    i think sitemap accepts links till 50mb data

    sitemap.xml or sitemap.html?

    if sitemap.html,show the important url in it.
