    On overture my keyword is only worth max 16 cents! I think I can get 50k vistors a day to the site, but I want to make a few grand a month off this site. Is it possible with such a low paying keyword? Thanks

    If you get 50k visitors a day, you should easily be able to get 2k a month on cpm or other forms of advertising. How many page views a days do you get from your 50k visitors?

    Simple math on this one. 50K visitors, what CTR do you need to make that "few grand a month."

    Does Visits x CTR% x .16 = a few grand a month?

    im not sure, lets say 5% of 50k people click a day. Then I make like 32 bucks a day or something. I make like 920 a month, I know my maths not exact, just a estimate. Right?

    get your windows calculator and enter:

    If you want to earn $2500 / mnt, with a $0.16 keyword, you'll need

    2500 / 0.16 = 15625 clicks

    if you have 50,000 views (users?) a day, thats 1.500.000 / month, so your CTR should be

    15625 / 1.500.000 = 1.04%.

    I'm no expert on CTR but 1% is not that hard to achieve.

    so:
    1% CTR => $2500
    2% CTR => $5000 etc.

    So is that right? I only have to get a 1% click through rate? That sounds too good to be true, im not second guessing you, your math looks right. I just dont know much about CPM etc. Is this right everyone? Thanks

    1% CTR is easy. But 50k page views daily is bit more tricky. :)

    corety1111: set up your site again, get the visitors! after a month you'll know what way you're heading. put a simple adsense box on your pages, see what happens. then you have some real data to work with.

    Your assumption of "50k pageviews" is a big IF in this equation ...

    Haha well the point Frankm was trying to make.. it is not the point of seeing that a certain keyword is getting 50k searches a day,, but you have to divide that by the number of sites and positions of each. 50k searches a day isnt much if theres 100 sites fighting for the visitors,,, and then you still have to get the visitors to click. But say your site is that much better than everyother site with the same keywords, you may get half ( over assuming there) so 25k hits a day. I would give it a shot , but I would set your goal a little lower and work from there. Now if the searches are a million a day then you may easily hit your 50k a day,, all about trial and error,, and the adwords budget to run the adwords for 75-90 days, due to the way adsense is paid out by google.
