I've got a problem with no webmasters responding to an email problem on my main account and then getting banned until the end of time because of "multiple accounts" - without warning, notice, etc. What I find disappointing is that you can invest time here but some moderators seem to always think that you're the idiot who didn't pay attention to the rules - when in reality, some of the problems, glitches, and malfunctions here at digitalpoint were the problems in the first place.

My main account has an invalid email address now and sending a "confirmation" email bounces back to DP. I must have sent 20 emails to the webmaster and never once received a reply. So I created a new account but there was a glitch in the database and wasn't sure if that account was even active and it didn't seem so because I couldn't login so I created a second account. As anyone here knows after a long time of frustration, you have to click the "remember me" button just to login. I've read numerous posts of angry moderators as if this is somehow the fault of the member and they should have somehow found a thread through search, etc. (how about either making it automatic or posting a popup nearby so users can see quickly how to deal with the issue?) After my new account wasn't functioning properly and I politely put a post here, someone seems to have gotten mad, discovered a duplicate account and banned everything forever... yes, very funny indeed.

Now I can appreciate the time constraints but I've noticed that this isn't always about moderators with too many requests but more one of an inability or desire to communicate. While there are all these great bells and whistles it seems that there is no care or concern for customer relations management - does anyone care?

I'm hoping this can be remedied or I'm just going to have to unfortunately leave a wasted investment behind here and be wiser and go to the many other places that provide a good forum for discussion. Thanks and hope to receive a thoughtful response in kind.

PS - there were more database problems creating accounts last night, resulting in a mysql error. An account was actually created but the user had no idea since no email was generated. Once again, the member can be penalized severely (forever and ever) despite the fact that this error was actually not their fault. I'm not in the business of creating multiple accounts but when you're banned forever and nobody listens, what else does one do? At this point, it's my last attempt and if it can't be resolved... I'm obviously leaving. Thanks.
